I started my wrestling career in 8th grade after my football coach convinced me to come give it a try.  After some initial struggles, I won my first match and was hooked. Throughout my career I was selected as team captain and won many Coach's Awards for my leadership qualities. I went on to have a very successful high school career in Division 1A in the Virginia High School League.  

 

VHSL Accolades:

• 3 Time District Placer - 2 Time Champion

• 3 Time Regional Placer - 2 Time Regional Champion

• 3 Time State Qualifier with finishes of 5th, 3rd, and 5th

Upon graduation I took several years off from sports while I was pursuing my Mechanical Engineering degree.  As life changed, I found myself working at Newport News Shipbuilding and wrestling for The Apprentice School. My time wrestling in college really opened my eyes to the sport and what it takes to become successful at the next level.  It's these values, mental preparation, and work ethic that I try to instill into our athletes at Ascent Wrestling Club.
